Rope

if u could use a rope to choke the life out of me would u
could you watch as the life drained from my body
would you care if my heart ceased to beat
as my eyes roll back in my head
would you stroke my hair and dry my tears
lie and say everything would be ok
do you think I would believe it
do you think your words matter anymore
your lies thick on the tip of your tongue
I choked on them so many times as you stole my breath from me
then you'd give a little back just to keep me hanging on
sometimes i want to give you that rope
just so you can end it for good
but I know you'd only toy with me
